Geography


Researchers agree that the origin of Lentils was on Israel with more than 7000 - 9000 years of antiquity, spreading later on to India, Egypt and Europe. 
At the beginning in Egypt were considered food for royalty, then they were eaten by the constructors of the pyramids and its known that Egypt was a good producer that export lentils. 
By the time lentils became known in all the world with many different ways of prepare them. The following map shows the actual regional producers.
